
This Sunday, Clara Brugada celebrated her first hundred days as head of government in Mexico City with a speech at the National Auditorium in front of prominent members of Morena. In her intervention, she highlighted the achievements and commitments of her management, calling for unity alongside President Claudia Sheinbaum to face what she termed "the northern threat."
In her address, Brugada emphasized the continuity of Sheinbaum's government project, recognizing the support of the local Congress for constitutional reforms and this year's budget. She referred to the administrative decentralization of the City, with the creation of 22 government houses in different locations to address citizen needs.
"I call for national unity and total support for President Claudia Sheinbaum's stance against the threats from the north," Brugada emphasized. During her first hundred days, she highlighted the implementation of programs such as support for police, school aid, and assistance for families of the disappeared.
Regarding mobility, she pledged to have Metro Line 1 ready by mid-year and announced an increase in the budget allocated to the Boroughs. Brugada outlined several government initiatives, such as the construction of 100 utopias, the rescue of parks, water plans, and measures to tackle the housing issues in the City.
The head of government also expressed her support for migrants and the national industry, promising improvements in neighborhoods and roadways, as well as in public safety with a reduction in crime rates. Meanwhile, progress will be made in the renovation of Metro Line 3 as part of her government project.
